Absolutely Fabulous

I just watched, live, Absolutely Cindy come from absolutely dead last, go absolutely 7 wide and mow down the boys in the stretch of the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes. The field wasn't exceptional going in with only 3 horses who have posted +80 Beyers, but as soon as this race in on Kentuckyderby.com make sure you watch it. She broke her maiden going a 1 1/8 on the fake stuff at Keeneland and has performed well on the turf with a real nice closing kick, but this was something else entirely. Todd Schrup got "Schrupped" as he spent a few seconds talking about how over matched she was in this spot, he's like (is) the biggest mush of mushes I've ever seen.

Whenever you have a horse owned by, bred by, trained by the same person it's pretty likely they're all on the same page and are going to put the horse in the best spot possible, so my question is where to next, Lane's End, Bluegrass? What's the best spot?

LOL @ Todd Schrupp getting "Schrupped." I just love picking against that guy as he's so cocky sometimes.

Maybe it's just me, but he looks like a bad dracula character to me when they do closeups of him. Although, he did single on a 16/1 yesterday at Bay Meadows that got home for him. I guess he's okay and I tend to be hard on him.

What did you think of Absolutely Cindy? I was going to post about it but haven't seen the race as I missed in on tv/internet and haven't seen a replay.

Is she this year's Rags to Riches? :)

yeah shrupp is funny, he's a guy a lot of people like to dislike (hate is too strong a word), the replay is up at kentuckyderby.com, they do a pretty good at getting them up pretty quickly over there.

Glad to see Absolutely Cindy getting all this attention, as she'll no doubt be a massive underlay next time out.

The race fell apart, and she was the only one running at the end. She didn't get within 20 lengths of Indian Blessing on dirt, but she has definitely done well on Poly and turf.

It'll be interesting to see if they look at the Ashland, Lane's End, or Bourbonette with her. If she goes to the Oaks after that, though, she's an automatic bet against.
