Future BC

A son of Empire Maker, Water Maker, wins the 2012 6f swim at Aqueduct. Todd Pletcher's hope, a filly by Sky Mesa, Water Hole, was disqualified for illegal equipment. I want to hate these new races, and deep down I do, but any change in this sport is good. If I were to put on my "predict the future" hat I see the BC labeling stakes outside their 2 days as premier events with some sort of new demarcation over the old Gr I, and taking away a lot of the power from TOBA. 2-3 years tops.
