Ramsey says Golden Shaheen is target for Talent Search - Thoroughbred Times
Talent search is going to Dubai by way of Bobby Frankel. The article mentions the prior success the Ramsey's have had over in the Desert and I want to wish them luck again this year.
This sort of proves my point about why I made those Ramsey shirts in the first place: Good owners get good horses.
I don't think it's a fluke when an owner continually puts out good to great runners year after year. Something positive must be said about the management of the racing product from the owner's standpoint. The racing industry should do more to market their top end owners and help brand them accordingly. Horses like Kitten's Joy are only with us a short time, but the owners always have another one in the barn.
Small plug, Xmas sale on the shirts, no S&H, just $20. |

No mention of Ramsey bribing another trainer to scratch so that his horse would have a better chance of winning?
They certainly have quality and successful runners, which is interesting given that they have $5,000 claimers as well across the country. Charlie Baker has his fill of them up at Finger Lakes.
I would have to pull the disappointment button on the "good owners get good horses" note. People should probably know why Dale Romans and the Ramsey's split up. One reason...
Not speculation either, Roman's former assistant trainer has the same sire and dam as me :)
I didn't know that, and that's a real shame. I hope there's another side to the story.
